We are a Specialty Coffee and Seasonal Food Cafe located at 416 Cherry Ave in sunny Long Beach, CA. One barista and one chef, passionate about seasonality and dedicated to sustainability. We are feminists and food activists who believe in bringing quality food and beverages to our Long Beach community, which then supports local farmers and coffee producers around the world. Creating from the heart space, we love and appreciate the taste the earth provides us and the community it connects. Prioritizing local and sustainable sourcing means that our menus will be changing with the seasons and the farmers market availability. We intend to serve you with kindness and live each day with wide eyes and open palms.

A MULTI-ROASTER COFFEE SHOP
We look towards award winning roasters in the industry to provide us with the fresh roasted materials. In the biz, this is called being a "multi-roaster shop". Supporting coffee roasters with sustainable practices and direct trade relationships in a part of our mission of flavor and ethics. We currently rotate between Tectonic, Heart, Kuma and Mother Tongue Coffee Roasters. These are companies that believe in us and we in them. All of these relationships are important to us, the environment and the people who are a part of the process. With this care we look forward to serving you the best cup of coffee we can every time.
FARM TO TABLE RESTAURANT + BAKERY
We proudly purchase all produce and eggs from local farms.
We do not use distributors for any of our produce or eggs. This means all food is fresh from the earth and with support of local growers. Our pastry chef makes all pastries by hand each and every day. We use organic flours, farm fresh eggs and organic butter. We believe it is better for our bodies, palates and the planet.
DEDICATION TO SUSTAINABILITY
We compost all of our coffee, tea and food waste. We use all compostable eco-products, including cups, napkins, plates, to-go containers and utensils. We ride our bikes and strive to be conscious of water conservation. We use 100% eco cleaning products and dish soap (no chemicals on our plates).We love our earth and care about how we serve our food and beverage.

Kat and Angie are long time radical queer activists who both found a love and passion for the culinary space. They joined forces to create a space for queer community and those who truly care about the craft of food and beverage and what they put in their bodies. Here at WEOP we are affirming of all genders and sexual identities. We believe queer people are magic!
